We aim to make our campus as accessible as possible. Here you can find useful information for visiting campus.
We also have a page for disabled students and a page for disabled staff.
We list all accessible building entrances on our interactive campus map. You can find these by clicking on the Facilities tab at the bottom of the map and choosing Disabled Building Access.
The majority of Central Teaching Space Rooms are fitted with Hard of Hearing systems using either Infrared Transmitters or induction loop systems.
More information on how to access Hard of Hearing technology.
For more detailed information about building accessibility visit our entry on AccessAble. This programme was compiled by trained surveyors and includes text descriptions and images for a range of accessibility issues for every building on campus.
We have an accessible route through campus marked on our interactive campus map. To view it, click on the Walks/Routes tab at the bottom of the map.
This accessible route provides a step-free path across campus. The route begins at the main entrance of the University near the Parkinson steps, and ends at the Worsley building. It's marked by signs and involves the use of lifts at some points. The route is open during working hours at the University. If you’re visiting outside of working hours you can request a key fob. For more information about requesting a fob read our accessible facilities on campus page.
You can also download our campus map (PDF) and download a large print version of the map (PDF).
We list all of our disabled toilets on our interactive campus map. Click on the Facilities tab at the bottom of the map and then choose Disabled Toilets.
